chapter 3:
DEBT IS KING

BORED ๐Ÿ˜ด ๐Ÿฅฑ? SKIP TO THE END

if african poverty is the basis of profitable global trade, it helps to understand what keeps the continent poor. in africa the lion isnโ€™t king, DEBT is! (see what we did there? ๐Ÿ˜Ž)

the global trade system is predicated on dollar scarcity. it is an artificial scarcity controlled by the u.s. to weaken the bargaining position of africa, and other economies.

effectively africa can never sell enough exports to make enough dollars to buy what it needs. african countries are then forced to borrow.

inevitably debtor countries must borrow again to pay off their initial debts. then borrow some more to pay off what they borrowed to pay that first debt that came from borrowing to pay for imports they couldnโ€™t afford in the first place! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ
(this is that circle of debt mufasa never got a chance to teach simba cus scar ended his undefeated run. R.I.P. to a real one ๐Ÿฅบ)
